Update on Covid-19 Restrictions

On February 24, 2022 Cardinal Collins, Archbishop of Toronto announced how the provincial COVID-19 restriction changes will effect places of Worship. To see Cardinal Collins letter, please click here.

As of March 21, 2022, the below redueced restrictions will effect St. Ann's, St. Patrick's and Ste. Croix Parishes.

  • All capacity limits, including physical distancing requirements, are removed from churches and
    parish halls.
  • Indoor mask use is still optional.
  • The kiss of peace is still discouraged at this time. A bow or wave should continue to be used as an alternative.
  • Holy Communion on the tongue can resume, but those receiving Holy Communion on the tongue should ideally be at the end of the Communion line.
  • Meetings in parish halls may resume for those who may wish to do so.
  • The use of hand sanitizer upon entry to the church and before the distribution of Holy Communion remains a best practice and is encouraged.
  • Confessionals and confession rooms can reopen.
