On Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024, the Office of Catholic Youth held its young adult Faith & Fitness hike up Blue Mountain in Collingwood. With 28 participants, each one carried a sacred piece of the Mass—whether it was the Roman Missal, a cruet or candles—as they ascended together.

The climb was both a physical and spiritual journey, culminating in the celebration of Mass at the summit, with breathtaking views of Georgian Bay as our backdrop. After Mass, participants journeyed from one mountain peak to another, praying the rosary as they walked, united in faith and prayer.

The total distance covered was an impressive 19 km, with an elevation gain of 75 floors! The young adults were prayerful, excited, enthusiastic and full of energy, feeling both spiritually and physically renewed by the end of the hike.

Everyone left looking forward to the next Faith and Fitness event with eager hearts. Organizers hope to see participants at the next one, encouraging all to come and experience the joy of growing in faith and fitness together.
