​On Friday, April 8, 2016, the Vatican released Pope Francis’ apostolic exhortation (papal document to the global church), “Amoris Laetitia: On Love in the Family”, bringing together the results of two recent Synods on the family convoked by the Holy Father in 2014 and 2015.
